Learning Mentor
At Rice Lane Primary and Nursery School, all adults are committed to ensuring that every individual is able to achieve their full potential.
In supporting this vision, we recognise that some children may experience additional barriers to learning which require support.
Whether the barrier comes in the form of academic, social or emotional, the role of a Learning Mentor is crucial in our delivery of bespoke interventions so that learners thrive during their time at Rice Lane.

Social, Emotional and Mental Health
At Rice Lane we know that good learning and achieving a fulfilling life depend on much more than just strong teaching or a focus on academic progress and attainment. We pride ourselves on that every member of the team considers each child’s broader well-being as being of paramount importance. We, therefore, create opportunities and take the time to get to know the children in our care well and, when necessary, aim to support them and their families in addressing any issues in their Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
